  1.  The first school just for nursing was established in 250 B.C., but back then only men were allowed to attend the school because they were deemed purer than the women.
  2. Nursing is consistently named one of the top most trusting professions. In fact, 85% of the surveyed population viewed them as ethical and honest.
  3. In 1862, The New England Hospital for Women and Children became the first nursing school in the United States.

  5. The average nurse walks between four and five miles a day and that’s only counting their 12 hour shift! The average American only walks 2.5 to 3 miles a day.
