The Perfect Job for Introverts: HEDIS

The Perfect Job for Introverts: HEDISThere’s been a lot of talk recently about the positive aspects of being an introvert, including this Huffington Post article, “23 Signs You’re Secretly and Introvert,” Scientific American’s article, “The Power of Introverts: A Manifesto for Quiet Brilliance,” and Forbespiece, “6 Ways Introverts Can Be More Powerful.”

American culture is focusing on the power of introverted personalities for the first time, and natural-born introverts are finally being recognized for the importance of their ways of life in our society.

It seems the pendulum has switched directions, because just a year or two ago, everyone was clammering about opening up, being as outgoing as possible, and achieving professional goals by schmoozing as much as possible. Extroverts seemed to run the show, at least professionally, but now introverts are being recognized for their contributions, too.

If you’re an introvert, the professional scene can feel overwhelming. The incessant advice to introduce yourself to as many people as possible at office parties to boost your chances of getting a promotion, the need to constantly “check in” with your manager instead of more effectively working alone all day, and the increased popularity of “open design” offices the minimize private work areas can feel like the odds of professional success are out of reach for introverts.

But there is good news!

Among all the challenging aspects of the modern work place, there are a few avenues for introverts to excel professionally. One of the absolute best is HEDIS. We’re a data collection, synthesis, and analysis company that strives to improve healthcare outcomes in every hospital in every city throughout the US. We have been working for many years and have seen excellent progress in our healthcare system, and we’ll continue working tirelessly.

One of the strengths of introverts is that they’re great at paying attention to detailed information, and healthcare data includes a lot of that, so we’re always looking for introverts to add to our team at HEDIS.

What’s special about working for HEDIS?

Many introverts have found that working for HEDIS has been a great fit for them because everyone works from home, at their own pace, and workers choose which projects they would like to participate in.

While everyone at HEDIS is friendly and respectful in their treatment with each other, there isn’t much opportunity for social interaction or daily collaboration with others—a work setup that many introverts prefer.

If this sounds like it might be a good fit for you, give HEDIS a call at (877) 328-2343 or email info@datafied.com. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have about working for HEDIS.
