HEDISAre you a nurse who’s interested in working on HEDIS measures? Do you have the necessary qualifications, including an advanced educational background, clinical certification such as LPN, RN, or MA, and the ability to aptly use various computer programs?

If so, it’s important to know where you’ll be working, and in what way.

We have nurses working on HEDIS measures all over the US from Seattle, WA to St. Petersburg, FL, and 44 other cities in-between. Click the “Partner Cities” tab on the menu below for the full list.

Most HEDIS work is done from home, since it involves reviewing, compiling, and analyzing documents that determine doctors’ and hospitals’ performance in areas such as access/availability of care, health plan stability, and utilization and relative resource use. For the full list of evaluation categories, see the previous blog post titled “Why is HEDIS important?”

Ability to use the internet and computer programs is a prerequisite for working on HEDIS measures. Most nurses are already proficient with the necessary technological tools because they use them in their everyday lives at work and at home.
